I really wanted to post a song that I have heard, literally hundreds of times since my first birthday with Mark (on repeat by request from me) but I couldn’t figure out how :(. He recently referred to it as “One Big Smile”. I think Mark regrets introducing me to the song - for the first few months we were dating, as soon as we got into the car I would look for this song and hit play. But now, it’s reserved for sunny days or when we’re in an especially good mood, we turn up the volume and I do a little sprinkler dance action and sing along ^__^. *I can’t dance… literally, I have no rhythm or coordination and I’m as stiff as a loaf of bread that’s been sitting out for a week or more, so whenever I want to make Mark smile, I attempt to do a dance move or sing and clap at the same time.
It’s called Special Angel from Coyote? a Korean pop song.
oh happy birthday to my sarang (aka love) ^__^
My present for him came a little early and he saw it on the door step before I got to it, but luckily he had to run out for a meeting so didn’t get a chance to open it. So I knew I had a little less than an hour to wrap it. Since he already knew what it was, it really didn’t matter if it was wrapped or not, but ya know… it’s the little things that show people how much we care, right? And… I realized I haven’t moved any of my wrapping drawers from my parents house to my home yet. So in my rush this is what I resorted to:
leave it in the box
get a clean paper bag
cut all the edges a trim off the ends (1 big rectangle)
wrap with the words facing inside
I dug out all my peony stamps from my wedding (I ordered 3 Martha Stewart Peony Stamps 3 months before my wedding and they arrived 2 weeks after my wedding* I called I think 4 times reminding the guy, such a nice guy, but a little spacy
he would say “oh you again? sorry, I’ll have it out in the mail tonight” every time) - for the medium sized I thought I would mix it up with the peony stamp I used for my wedding I bought it at Impressions, but I’m pretty sure they sell it at Michael’s too, I also decided pink might be… a little too girly so I used a versa mark, almost like an oil stain, but came out a nice brown on the paper bag
if I had more time I would have figured out where I wanted to stamp and stamped it before wrapping the box, the walls of the box were a little to unstable for stamping… I had to use the tiny stamp to fill in the areas that didn’t get the print on them.
thankfully I had some ribbon left over from my wedding as well.
It’s not as polished as I would have liked it to be, but for a 20 minute project not bad…
So… I got Mark the Kindle 2 which fits all his criteria: makes his life easier, helps make our home clutter free, it’s pretty (maybe more my criteria…) so I’m not allowed to touch it, which is probably a good idea because anything electronic tends to break, I blame my magnetic personality
I got the cover too and I’m glad I did, it snaps into place and makes it easier for Mark to take it around with him.
